Projects

The City of Manningham: The Doncaster Hill model.

The Doncaster Hill model focuses on the repositioning of this key precinct, its role, urban design issues, and proposed development opportunities. Proposals to develop boulevard planting and associated street furniture have been tested, along with several detailed designs provided by consultant architects.

The model is now being further developed to test streetscape design issues and to explore how the new housing projects can incorporate active ground floor uses to integrate with the proposed pedestrian environment.

What the clients say:
"The Virtual Reality Model enables users to navigate with complete freedom of choice along roads, around sites, building exteriors and facilities, providing personal viewing experiences and design interactivity. It includes being able to view proposed built form from any position and to assess the impact of different forms of development. The Virtual Reality Model was invaluable in assisting Council to support high-density development and to make decisions relating to urban design guidelines for the development of the area. The virtual model of Doncaster Hill is an important tool in allowing Councillors and Officers understand and evaluate the future urban environment for the whole precinct."
